Grooming a sheltie is process in its own with tips and tricks. If you don`t take part in dog shows then simple brushing, washing once a year, regularly cutting nails and hair under the paw plus checking the ears/if needed cleaning ears and teeth is enough. Every dogs ears should be checked from time to time to keep them clean. If you want to go to dog shows, you have to know how to properly trim the ears. When sheltie puppy is about fourth months old the ears might start doing tricks and if needed they can be helped to stand just right.
